We loved the Sandals in Montego Bay....I would say the best parts were the food, the beach, and the service.
Make sure to book your dinners the day you arrive because you need reservations for Tokyo Joe's (think Mongolian BBQ...great food!) and Cucina Romano (good, but Bayside restaurant and Oleander restaurant where you don't need a reservation were just as good). We went to The Carlise restaurant at Sandals Inn, which was great food. The Sandals Inn was so tiny, wasn't on a beach, and didn't even seem like a "Sandals" though compared to the Montego Bay.
The beach is HUGE and beautiful. They advertise 4 pools, but there's really only 2...one with a swim-up bar. The pools are smaller than most big resorts, but the beaches are so beautiful it makes up for it. Make sure to do the water sports, which are all free. They will take you for a 15 minute cruise on a mini-catameran or an hour long snorkeling trip jst off the coast of the resort. Both are included and lots of fun.
The service was outstanding and everyone was so friendly. However, even though they advertise no tipping, the staff are more than happy to accept. We even felt they were waiting for a tip at times.
If loud airplanes bother you, stay at one of the other Sandals in Jamaica. The airport is VERY close to the resort. When I say close I mean the runway is 100 feet from the entrance. You hear the planes loudly about 15-20 times a day, and they go right over your head as they take off. If this noise bothers you, don't stay here. It's loud.
We had a wonderful vacation at MoBay Sandals.
Positives: food, beach, friendly service, watersports
Negatives: airplane noise, small pools
