Just returned from a two nights stay at the Hilton in Owings Mills. Very nice location across the street from a good shopping center. Front desk staff not very attentive to us at all. Simply handed us keys and pointed to the elevator, seemed more concerned about talking to her co-worker about her weekend plans.

The second you walk in the lobby doors there was an EXTREME smell of gas to the point where it was difficult to breathe. We immediatly said, "I think you may have a gas leak!" to the front desk and they replied, "No it's a fireplace problem and happens occasionally" This went on for the first two days and seemed to clear up a bit the day we checked out.

Free internet access was great, room was comfortable, VERY loud air conditioning system. All and all, an okay experience.

Every time I stay here, I get a bright, shiny face at the desk, fast check in, quality room, great breakfast, fast and effective customer service.

The rooms are of good quality, the high speed internet works great, the beds are comfy, and I can't hear people around me (for the most part).

If there are no rooms available, I will not stay in Owings Mills at that time.

If you're in Owings Mills on business, this hotel is fine. The rooms are a good size, clean and well equipped. I particularly appreciated the free broadband Internet but there's also a microwave and iron in the room; web-connected printer downstairs and a good pool and gym. The breakfasts are fine too, if you don't mind a do-it-yourself approach. Service is good, but doesn't exactly fuss over you.

Two problems: no bar for a post-meeting beer and no restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants just across the road next to the mall but after an exhausting day of meetings that's not necesarily what you want. There are beers in a 'pantry' together with a wide range of other things you may have forgotten to pack, but that's a lonely way to imbibe.

For what it is, I have no complaints. It would actually be hard to improve significantly. But if you want to be coddled a little, this might not be the right place.

Very nice hotel, quite comfortable. Free broadband access in room, free computer use and printing in business center. The staff is very pleasant. Nice hot tub.

One problem - the heater/air conditioner is incredibly loud. I've never heard anything like it. After awhile, one gets used to it, but be prepared.
