“Great Time”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

Jun 21, 2008

The condo is right on the beach. You can walk out of your room and be on the beach in about a minute. The beaches at the neighboring locations (Hyatt, Marriott) were not as nice. Yes, there are some rocks, so get a pair of water shoes. You only have to worry about the rocks if you are going to get in the ocean. Strolling along the beach barefoot was perfect. I was able to snorkle between the Kaanapali Shores and the Kaanapali Beach Club (for free). I enjoyed snorkling near the condo better than the snorkling trip I paid for out at Molokini. The room was above my expectations. New kitchen / bath and very clean. Check in was simple and easy. I was able to check in an hour early with no problem. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The restraunt on site was average. The food was fine. The small pools are nice for older children and adults. There are no shallow areas. Other pools in the area are better (Hyatt and Marriott) with water squirting everywhere, shallow areas, caves, water falls, etc. Overall I really enjoyed the Shores. If they had a great pool area, The Shores would be perfect. Oh, by the way forget loading up at Costco on the way to the Condo. The "Star Market" is right across the street (walking distance). The prices are a little high but you don't have the huge bags of stuff that Costco has.

“Comfortable quality”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

4 of 5 stars
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Jun 18, 2008

The ResortQuest Kaanapali was a good value for our family of 4. Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff, tidy grounds made for a terrific week. The sunsets are beautiful, but the swimming beach is rocky and the sand beach is shallow. Better beach swimming and snorkeling is just to the south Black Rock, only 10 minutes away. There is a great little coffee shop in the strip mall across the street called Java Jazz serving breakfast, and the grocery store (although pricier than the Safeway in Lahaina, 20 mintues away) is convenient. We would stay there again.

“Comfortable stay in West Maui”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

4 of 5 stars
Oakland, California
Jun 17, 2008

We spent almost a week here at the end of May 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The facilities, especially the Lobby and the grounds, are nice and well-maintained. Our studio was well-appointed and in good shape. The staff was very helpful and arranged a snorkeling cruise and a photo shoot for us. The location is very convenient, only 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Kaanapali. There is a nice Star Market and some decent restaurants close by.

One minus is that the beach in front is thin and rocky, but if you just walk a few minutes south, you get to a nice beach and, if you just drive a few minutes, you can hit several more spectacular ones.

All in all, a nice stay. Maui truly deserves all the accolades it gets.

“Needs freshen up”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

3 of 5 stars
Montreal
Jun 15, 2008

I booked a condo for the commodities and was not disappointed. The appartment was spacious and the complex well located. There's a strip mall right across the street.Pools, and gardens satisfactory. The beach not so wonderful but its O.K., we went down the road at Black Rock near the Sheraton.

The appartment was clean but needs a little freshening up.They started but its incomplete. The colors on the wall are from the eighties. That, you can live with. But the kitchen cabinet need to be changed. They 're made of wood and smell moldy. Everytime you'd open a door, you would get that smell.

All the condo's are not the same as they are probably, individually owned, but nevertheless, they should continue renovating.

Great for families.

“Fabulous Value, Great Experience”

ResortQuest Kaanapali Shores

Jun 13, 2008

We Booked Our June 2008 Family Vacation Through Natalie at Peak Travel. Literally Every Detail, From The Seating Arrangements on The Plane, To The Rental Car and Especially Our Two Bedroom Condo at The Kaanapali Shores Was Perfect.

The Kitchen Was Great, The In-Room Washer & Dryer Were Valuable. The Food Was Great At Their Restaurant and a Grocery Store Was Just Across The Street... Great Pool Options and The Beautiful Maui Beach Was About 100 Feet From Our Balcony.

I Would Highly Recommend This Condo Resort For Location, Price, Convenience, Parking & Ease... Well Done. We Will Go Back In A Heartbeat.
