We first stayed at this hotel two years ago, when we have a very comfortable room with a large bathroom, so we were really looking forward to our return visit. However, the first room we were given was tiny with an overpowering smell of mould, so we asked for another room. This didn't smell but was even smaller than the first room with a tiny bathroom, which should have been checked before being allocated to us because the bed hadn't finished being made up and there was only one bathrobe in the bathroom. These things were rectified after we mentioned it but as we had paid £135. a night we felt let down and disappointed especially as it was such a small room. Also it would be nice to have some way of making a hot drink in the room Even so we would return to this hotel again because of the friendly and helpful staff, the central position in Boston and the relaxed atmosphere there. We especially liked the Il Barrista coffee shop which was excellent value.

“Great Place to Stay”

Jurys Boston Hotel

From checking in to checking out I cannot fault Jury's Boston. All of the staff were professional, very friendly and basically couldn't do enough to help. Our room on the 8th floor, was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We were never without clean fresh towels and the toiletries provided were absolutley gorgeous. At turndown more fresh towels and a chocolate for each guest. The hotel is only a short walk from Boston Common, Theatreland and from an indoor shopping mall and out door shops. If you like a great steak I would recommend going to Grill 23 just across the road from Jurys where I had the best steak ever.

“Not Quite There Yet (5 Star)”

Jurys Boston Hotel

We had a corner premier room (320) for a three night weekend stay in Boston. Got a substantial discount from Orbitz, at least over what was posted on the hotel website. Jury's was a good value for the discounted rate, but I would have expected better for the rack rate. The corner room was nice, but did not have a flat screen TV or ergonomic chair as advertised on Orbitz.

Service was always provided with a friendly smile, but there were some kinks here and there. Follow through by the staff was not always there for requests. Despite the reservation having been made for two, the room didn't seem fully prepared for two...for example, there was only one bathrobe, one bar of soap, and insufficient towels (at least for us). Turn down service in the evening provided fresh ice and chocolates.

My partner didn't care for the frosted glass on the bathroom door, as light from my late night forays kept her awake.

We liked the barista in the lobby for morning coffee and muffins... very good. Unfortunately, they were closed Monday morning, so I had to deal with Dunkin' Donuts' lines. Free local (Boston Globe) and NY papers were available each morning in the lobby...a nice touch.

As with most fancy hotels, there was no coffee maker in the room, and no vending machines in the halls.

This hotel is in a great location...just blocks from the Arlington and Back Bay T stations, as well as the Theatre District and the Public Gardens.

Jury's is trying hard to be a five star hotel, but isn't there yet.

P.S. Don't miss a delicious dinner at Giacomo's on Columbus Ave. This site (unlike the one in the North End) does take reservations, but both are cash only. Best halibut I've ever had.

“Lovely well located Hotel”

Jurys Boston Hotel

5 of 5 stars
West Midlands

We stayed at the Jury's for just one night at the end of a two week fly drive around New England, but we are so glad we did, this is a brilliant hotel, with the perfect blend of modern decor and old fashioned hospitality. From the moment we checked in we were impressed with the clean, modern look of the hotel and the friendiness of the staff. The room was also great, quite large with two queen size beds and a fab bathroom with almost a wet room for a shower. Having spent three nights at the Omni Parker at the start of our stay, there is no comparison Jury's wins hands down(Omni was fine, just a bit weary and dated with very small rooms)
We were also impressed that food/drinks in any of the hotel's bars/restaurants were not of the extortionate price you expect of hotels generally, rather they were on par with any of the bars we visited during our stay. This is also a great hotel location wise, with many bars/restaurants being located only a few minutes walk away and about a 25 minute walk from Faneuil Hall and the more historic part of the city.
All in all a great base from which to explore a lovely city.

“Not good for 3 ina room”

Jurys Boston Hotel

The hotel itself was very clean and friendly staff helped to make our stay enjoyable. I had booked a room for 3 people not near the evlevator; we arrived to find our room next to the elevator and only 2 beds. This was rectified by allocating another room for us but it was not big enough to have the "cot bed" out until the other 2 people had finished in the bathroom each night. This was very inconvenient. The restaurant did not cater for vegetarians during our stay there either.
