Our family stayed at the Hampton/Convention Center during the weekend of July 22-24, 2005.

The staff did well in customer service. They did respond positively to our requests and expediently found solutions to meet our needs. I felt they genuinely were interested in making our stay one of good memories.

The accomodations were clean, comfortable, and worthy of looking forward to returning to after a tourist filled day.

We would certainly consider this hotel again for family travel.

Stayed two nights at this property. Was concerned that it was out of the way; however, it was a nice walk along the riverfront and not far from the French Quarter. Rode the streetcar once to the FQ; however, after eating all the great food we decided we needed to walk!

There is an adequate breakfast in the morning and the rooms were clean. Would stay here again whether it's to catch a cruise, attend a convention, or party with friends for the weekend.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in February 2005. As the Airport Shuttle dropped us off, my first impression of the building was, well, not positive. It looked like we were walking into a dilapidated warehouse. As I soon found out, that is by design and my first impression quickly changed into one of delight. As a previous reviewer aptly noted, this is not your typical Hampton Inn. Part of the hotel is a thoroughly renovated cotton mill/department store warehouse. Luckily, I got to stay in the renovated section by virtue of my Gold Hilton HHonors status. My room was wonderful - large, high-ceiling, clean and comfortable. High, comfortable, four-poster bed. Upscale wood furniture. Fridge and microwave provided. The old windows and brickwork on the exterior wall were preserved, adding to the vintage flavor of the facility. The lobby had what appeared to be original hardwood flooring, which had been excellently restored. It was evident that Hampton had put a lot of money into the renovation - the interior, at least. They seemingly did nothing to the exterior of the building but then again, you don't stay outside. There is complimentary wireless internet access in the room, and laundry facilities (dollar each to wash and dry) and an exercise room in the basement. The morning breakfast was adequate and the staff was helpful. I am coming back here in May and am already looking forward to it!

Wonderful staff that aim to please. Great breakfast. Rooms were clean and we had plenty of space. Location is perfect for convention goers or just short walk to public transportation and Riverwalk. Enjoyed our stay, but next time were staying in the French Quarter!!
