Belize City does not have a “hot” and incredibly diverse nightlight. Instead, much of the action involves imbibing festive cocktails at various hotel bars. Much of the action in nightlife in Belize begins early, with an active happy hour that exists at most Bars around Belize City. Happy Hour is a chance to meet other travelers as well local Belizeans, as the sunsets over terraces and the music begins to hum from various nightspots along the river. At the Radisson Fort George courtyard overlooking the Caribbean, there is a large bar resting under a large, thatched roof, where visitors can enjoy cocktails and “Bocas” which are Caribbean appetizers. Paradise 21, hosts a jazz concert on Friday nights, while Copa Cabana plays steamy salsa music, attracting hosts of couples to spin on the dancefloor. At the Best Western Belize Biltmore Hotel, there is often a steel brass band that enlivens to the Caribbean senses.
The Bellevue Hotel has a dance floor, where reggae music is played.
For the casino lover Belize, Belize City has the biggest casino in the area, called the
Princess Hotel and Casino
in Belize City; it is situated on the waterfront just off Barracks Road. At night, there is a small show featuring dancing Russian girls every night.
In the Casino, Club Calypso tends to stick with the colorful carribean theme, with an open-air bar.
